Cobnan, who currently has a Transfermarkt market value of €800,000, has demonstrated steady growth since moving to Europe from Nigeria, Naija Footy reports.
A left-footed player mainly deployed on the right wing, he remains contracted to Krasnodar until June 2028, despite his temporary stint in Greece with Levadiakos.
The winger initially joined Krasnodar in January 2023 from Slovak side Železiarne Podbrezová after an impressive spell in the Fortuna Liga. During his time with the Russian club, Cobnan amassed 52 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing five assists. His performances in the Russian Premier League and domestic cup matches highlighted his potential and convinced Levadiakos of his ability to bolster their attacking lineup.
Prior to his move to Russia, Cobnan made his mark in Slovakia with Podbrezová, where he enjoyed a breakout spell. He featured in 34 matches, netting nine goals and delivering eight assists. His quality during that period attracted attention from several European clubs, ultimately leading to his transfer to Krasnodar.
Levadiakos sees Cobnan as a vital addition to their squad as they gear up for the new Greek Super League season. Known for his pace, dribbling skills, and versatility across various attacking roles, Cobnan is expected to enhance the team’s creativity and offensive options. The loan move also offers him a fresh opportunity to hone his talents in a different European setting.
For Cobnan, this transfer is another significant milestone in his career. A successful season in Greece could potentially increase his €800,000 valuation on Transfermarkt, position him as a more complete player upon his return to Krasnodar, and improve his chances of earning a spot in Nigeria’s senior national team in the near future.
