Birmingham City have announced that Bright Osayi-Samuel will remain with the club for the upcoming season, as outlined in their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign, Naija Footy reports.

As part of the league-wide requirement, all English Football League clubs submitted their retained and released lists by the third Saturday in May, signaling the beginning of preparations for next season.

Osayi-Samuel, who joined the Blues last summer, has been confirmed to stay and is set to participate in pre-season training ahead of the new campaign.

The Super Eagles defender arrived at St Andrew’s on a free transfer after his contract with Fenerbahçe expired. He signed a three-year deal, committing him to Birmingham City until the end of the 2027/28 season.

In his first season with the club, the former Blackpool academy product made 19 starts in the Championship and registered a single goal contribution during a February match against Norwich City.
