Nigerian international Olisa Ndah is poised to leave South Africa after a five-year stint, as interest from clubs abroad intensifies following the expiration of his contract with Stellenbosch FC at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, Naija Footy reports.
Currently a free agent, Ndah has attracted attention from several Premier Soccer League teams and overseas clubs, according to his representative, Mike Makaab. Recent developments indicate that the centre-back may soon embark on his first venture outside South Africa since his arrival in 2021.
Ndah initially joined Orlando Pirates from Nigeria Premier Football League outfit Akwa United after a successful trial and quickly became a key player for the Buccaneers. His time with the team saw him establish himself as a reliable defensive presence, contributing significantly to their successes.
However, his career faced a setback when a serious injury sidelined him for several months toward the latter part of his spell with Orlando Pirates. After his recovery, Ndah struggled to regain a consistent spot in the lineup, eventually parting ways with the club in January.
The 27-year-old was subsequently linked to moves to Sudanese club Al Hilal and Libyan outfit Al Shomooa but chose to remain in South Africa, signing a short-term deal with Stellenbosch. Delays in securing a work permit kept him off the pitch initially, but he finally made his debut for the club in March 2026, appearing in a defensive midfield role against Chippa United.
Now that his contract with Stellenbosch has ended and interest continues to grow across various markets, it seems increasingly likely that the former Akwa United star will take the next step in his career outside South Africa.
