Italian Serie A Femminile club AS Roma Women has renewed the contract of Super Falcons defender Shukurat Oladipo until June 2029, demonstrating their long-term commitment to one of Nigeria’s promising defensive talents, Naija Footy reports.
Oladipo, 21, joined the Giallorosse in 2024 following an impressive performance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup with Nigeria’s Falconets. Since arriving in Rome, she has progressed within the team’s setup, gaining invaluable experience in domestic competitions and securing her place as a crucial part of the club’s future.
Before moving to Europe, Oladipo honed her skills at FC Robo Queens in Nigeria. Internationally, she has represented Nigeria at both U-17 and U-20 levels and has made her debut with the senior Super Falcons, highlighting her swift ascent in women’s football.
In her time with Roma, the adaptable defender has made 18 senior appearances across all competitions, enhancing the team’s defensive strength while adjusting to the rigors of Italian football. Her poise on the ball and her capability to play as both a center-back and full-back have marked her as a valuable young asset for the club.
Soccerdonna currently values Oladipo at €35,000 euros, with expectations for her value to grow as she obtains more playing time in Serie A Femminile and on the international scene.
